Deep in a whirlpool
Rolling in a wave
Slipping off the edge
Dancing, dancing with the trouble
Lifes getting funnier and funnier
Running for money
Getting tired without sleeping
Sleepy when working
Down, down, down
Upside down
Life’s all upside down
Going after something
Forgetting that feeling
Locking down the memory
Changing the meaning of everything
Down, down, down
Life’s pretty upside down
Laughing at mistakes
Crying at accomplishments
Going crazy in this town
I’m like a nonsense clown
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Down, down, down
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Broken my crown
It’s twisted
I’m so upside down
Chasing illusions
Working no solutions
Finding tribulations
Unlimited revolutions
Healths no better
Lifestyles bitter
Relationships suffer
Left Crying for my mother
Down, down, down
It’s still upside down
Learning to be happy as a clown
Hey, hey, hey
Repaired my crown
It’s all good
Learn to improve the mood
Somewhat understood
Happiness is food
It gets better
Living in the moment
Is what I’ve learned
Swim with the current
And get transformed
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Still upside down
But hey, hey, hey
I’m also upside down
Hey, hey, hey
Fine with me
I am still free

Have you wondered how much you have changed? Like the things you hated when you were a child, you like them now. I have changed the most. I am now calmer than before. I don’t react to some things in an extreme manner.
Maybe growth is like this.
But still, why do we sometimes stray off our path? Concentration is hard when you have things running in your head. It feels like you are the only one standing in a moving world. More like you are the only one stuck. Everyone is moving forward, some are moving backward, but you are stationary at your place. You don’t understand what you are doing, what you want to do, and most importantly what you need to do.
It’s okay. You can take it as an off day or off day. It’s okay if you aren’t moving now. It’s fine if you can take the step to move sometime later. Just keep breathing steadily and move. You don’t have to do a hundred things. Even trying to do one thing is a huge improvement in a good direction.
No matter how much your life is upside down, something will always tether you to your life. That tether is what’s important.
PS
This is a song I wrote when I was thinking about how to move forward with my life when I was thinking and reminiscing about the plans, I made for myself when I was young.
