On the day of her second wedding, Katherine Fisher, aka ‘Catfish,’ set the date for her divorce. In precisely 18 months, she would be entitled to half of their combined assets and receive maintenance payments until her five-year-old daughter, Emma, turns 18. Just as Catfish was about to take her husband, Lindsay ‘Dogboy’ Kramer (a successful businessman and dog whisperer) to the cleaners, he goes missing.
The police investigation into Dogboy’s disappearance leads them into the dark world of counterfeit designer goods, money laundering, and drug smuggling.
With Dogboy’s assets frozen and the mob protecting their interests, the missing persons case escalates to homicide. Catfish is in a race against time to get hold of Dogboy’s assets before the police get hold of her.
One question remains – is Dogboy dead or alive?

Dogboy v Catfish by Luke GraciasMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
Amazing book. The plot is really thrilling. Mainly Dogboy, I just loved his character. All the chase leading to the truth at the end, I was very much invested. I could not wait to see how it ended. The smooth flow of the story, with relatable characters brought a very exciting plot to life.
Mainly because I had never read anything like this, the crime scenes, were intriguing. Also the title, I loved it. It was very comfortable to read because the style of narration was like watching something unfold before your eyes.
Totally unexpected twists at the end. But I find the ending really satisfying.
A great read!

Amazing book. The plot is really thrilling. Mainly Dogboy, I just loved his character. And Catfish, well I didn’t like her. All the chase leading to the truth at the end, I was very much invested. Because that was the mystery. I could not wait to see how it ended. I was supposed to read it for four days but I finished it in one day.
The smooth flow of the story, with relatable characters brought a very exciting plot to life.
Mainly because I had never read anything like this, the crime scenes, were intriguing. Also the title, I loved it. It was very comfortable to read because the style of narration was like watching something unfold before your eyes. I kept waiting to see what would happen at the end and it felt so good to see how things unfolded. Like really relieved and I felt wow, things make sense now. Haha. You would love Dogboy, he counterattacked everything perfectly.
I don’t want to give you spoilers but I can say that Dogboy did not appear in the forefront, like most of the time actively, he was there everywhere passively, and he played everything well. His conversations were all recalled by the characters. That was a great storytelling. Something I never read before.
Totally unexpected twists at the end. But I find the ending really satisfying.
A great read!

Are you sure?
Catfish has ties with imitation goods, drug trafficking, and money laundering and she wants the assets of Lindsay aka Dogboy. Though she was really leading, in the end, it proved that Dogboy had counterattacked her perfectly. I was really scared for him before the third part of the book. This proved to be a very compelling read about the laws and how even some support could mean the world to someone.
You should read this book. Highly recommended.
