REVIEW:

It starts with The One and four artifacts. And then, we meet Adrian. He is an entertainer and he can juggle, and perform The Shell Game, and he isn’t with a guild. That’s how he meets his new group with a warrior, a sorceress, and a dragon, and well, they end up with a task that needs them to get one of those artifacts for a reward.
It is a quest and an adventure. They travel through many places and I liked the Lakom Adrian promised to take back home. Gordo, the Lakom, and Adrian talked to each other and essentially, Adrian could talk with others too like his horse because of a spell. I’m telling so many details.
Well, so, here is what I liked. The storytelling! It was smooth and I went from slightly not liking some characters to liking them later. And the plot, it was not like the romantasy ones where things just keep happening, this was more like a tale of adventure that you were told as stories. Smooth sailing with both predictable and non-predictable twists. There’s some romance but I was really more focused on the characters. At one point, when Adrian leaves because of his guilt, they come back for him. I smiled, haha.
And the ending was awesome. Not gonna spoil that. But there’s a song at the end. I love songs, and I liked this one too. It was a ballad and a nice one too.
You can find friendships, adventure, fantasy elements, magic, family, guilds, and an amazing story.
I didn’t read books like this before so I found that I like to read them now. I’m going to reread this soon.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow, it was really good. There’s a quest and I loved reading about Adrian and his tricks. As he travels with his group, there are so many adventures. The thing is that the characters are written really well. I loved Gordo and Obsidian. And the ending was awesome. I had expected some parts but the other ones just took me by surprise. There were so many things I liked in the plot, especially the magical ones, and I liked how the places they traveled were described. The quest ended with a nice fight and the plot twist ending was great. Entertainer and Innkeeper, they really surprised everyone, and the others- i guess they are all happy too.
